The ACOS5 PKI Kit - Administrator Package is a secure and easy-to-use software package that enables administrators in a PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) system to prepare and manage the cards and tokens of their end-users.
To experience the comprehensive services that this kit provides, follow the procedures to install the Administrator Packages. Installing the Administrator package will let you manage the contents of ACOS5 cards and CryptoMate tokens, as well as experience the benefits of pulic-key encryption and digital signature services across a wide variety of applications.
The Administrator Package automatically installs the following components:
A. ACS Unified PC/SC Driver - A single driver installer that enables all generic ACS Smart Card Readers to run with various Windows operating systems.
B. ACS Middleware - To use the CryptoMate for cryptographic applications such as PKI with your own certificates, ACS provides you with three middleware: ACS Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP), ACS Key Storage Provider (KSP), and ACS PKCS #11.
C. Administrator Package Manual - This document contains the description of the various components included in the ACOS5-CryptoMate Client Kit Administrator Package. It also contains guides on how to manage and use your certificates and digital signature with third party applications such as Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Reader.
